Description
We have a huge gopher tortoise that lives on our property. One afternoon about dusk while painting on my deck I spotted our friend on his way home to his den. I grabbed my camera and ran out to meet him before he made it back inside. As you can see by the expression on his face he was none to happy that I was between him and his den and darkness was falling fast. He almost ran over me making a bee-line back to his home. However success was in my future because I snapped several great pictures before he scooted by me.
