This elephant was a combination of using up my leftover palette from a previous painting and using a palette knife to apply the paint to the canvas. Really good paint is very expensive as most artists know, so instead of throwing away my leftover paint from completed paintings I try to combine them to make a new painting with a palette knife that would be pleasing to the eye. Old can be new again, thanks old paint.
I am a self taught artist of only 13 years. I spent much time checking out books from the library on Painting and the Old Masters. I have combined some of the features of my favorite Old Masters and Impressionists to create my own style. Please feel free to comment and share my work with family and friends.
