Description
The Blessed Mother holds a very special place for my heart. She is quite beautiful in my eyes. I used a gray under painting to create the delicate nature of her skin. I also used many layers of very thin translucent color to create the shadowy background. There are between 25-30 translucent layers of paint on this portrait and it took me approximately 10 months to complete.
